If you want it working now, look here: http://www.kallisti.net.nz/blog/2008/01/making-the-hercules-dj-control-mp3- work-with-mixxx/ We haven't managed to make it work with libDJConsole, due to problems initialising the device, I spent some time working with libDJConsole trying to make it work, and didn't succeed. In the end, I made the legacy mode work better with the device, although it's still not a perfect solution by any means. HOWEVER (this is a big 'however' :) your timing is only slightly off. Soon, barring unforeseen issues, we should have Linux drivers that turn all the herc DJ consoles into MIDI devices. We're working on getting support in Mixxx trunk for them before those drivers are properly released. And by soon, I mean soon. Hopefully on the scale of a small number of weeks. You will hear more on this list when it happens. Robin.
