Jim,

We just committed a workaround for the lost MIDI messages on Linux bug -- 
please try the latest version of lp:mixxx/1.7 (make sure to turn the 
rawmidi flag off) and let us know if you still see the problem. Both Sean 
and I can confirm the problem doesn't happen on the SCS3d anymore.
