Ahoi, I spend some time trying to compile Mixxx myself again last night so that I can finally start some hacking on the library SQL and also just because I want to get it to work :) Anyways, I have tried to note down all the libs that I had to grab which were not yet mentioned on the wiki. Anyways at 3am I think I became aware of a final brick wall which I am unable to plow through even with the very supportive IRC channel.
It appears that Quicktime is stuck in 32bit land and that one is supposed to actually now utilize CoreAudio instead, which does support 64bit: "In addition to these function-level deletions, some entire Carbon and QuickTime technologies will not be supported in 64-bit applications." "In addition to these function-level deletions, some entire Carbon and QuickTime technologies will not be supported in 64-bit applications." [2] So I guess for now Mixxx needs to be compiled as 32bit, which I guess is possible somehow since Pascal got things compiled on Snow Leopard(?) regards, Lukas [1] http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/compiling_on_os_x [2] http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/DOCUMENTATION/Darwin/Conceptual/64bitPorting/HighLevelAPIs/HighLevelAPIs.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40001064-CH224-SW6 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Throughout its 18-year history, RSA Conference consistently attracts the world's best and brightest in the field, creating opportunities for Conference attendees to learn about information security's most important issues through interactions with peers, luminaries and emerging and established companies. http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsaconf-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Mixxx-devel mailing list Mixxx-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mixxx-devel
