Hello, First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Tom Gascoigne, and I'm a first year Computer Science student at Coventry University, with a strong programming background. I've been self teaching to feed my interest since I was around 15 and have a fairly solid understanding of a number of languages, most notably C++ and Java. I'm also a budding DJ, which is a new hobby of mine that I've picked up in recent years. Music has been a major interest of mine for a long time, and after a friend introduced me to his decks a year or so ago I've been slowly progressing and I'm really enjoying DJing :) For those curious, I'm into a range of music from Drum and Bass, to House, Garage, and also non electronic music (Post-rock, a bit of Indie here and there).
I'm writing to this mailing list to get to know the community a little, and I hope this is a good place to start. I'm hoping to submit a proposal to work on the Harmonic Mixing project suggested on your wiki, and I can see a lot of interest and useful discussion going on here already. I'd invite you to check out my portfolio and blog at http://tom.gascoigne.me/ if you're so interested, and I'd also invite other potential GSoC students or Mixxx developers to email me to discuss possible ideas for implementation, or just to chat :) Regards, Tom Gascoigne ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ Get Mixxx, the #1 Free MP3 DJ Mixing software Today http://mixxx.org Mixxx-devel mailing list Mixxx-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mixxx-devel
