Hi Tom,

I'm glad to hear you're interested in working on Mixxx for GSoC.

There are a couple things we suggest for GSoC candidaes looking to get
familiar with Mixxx and the community:
1) Check out the code and get it compiling on your development machine
2) Come say hi in #mixxx on freenode IRC :)
3) If you're feeling ambitious, find a bug marked "easy" on our bug tracker
and do it as a starter project to help you get acquainted with the codebase.

It sounds like you've got a strong C++ background to rely on. Mixxx uses
the Qt framework extensively, which you'll probably find is not that
different from STL or other C++ frameworks out there. As you explore, feel
free to ask any questions here or on IRC.

Thanks and good luck,
RJ
