This is a packaging bug in ubuntu I'm pretty sure. You have to install the packages from the command line or it won't work. I think you should try to install portaudio19 first, and do whatever it says. Then if you want to install jackd1 instead of jackd2, you can do apt-get install jackd1 and it will automatically uninstall jackd2.
