thank you for this thread. It comes in handy, because I am currently
working on refactoring of Scotts Auto DJ branch.

We had a similar discussion last year. But unfortunately the branch was not
finished.
We have decided to allow the DJ to use the different AutoDJ transaction
without Auto DJ active. Scott has introduced a pair of fade now buttons
aligned with the X-Fader. I think it is not hard to also introduce Own's
Idea in form of a Single-Auto-Transaction (Fade later)
We have also discussed how to set a cue point on a playing track. But had
no other idea the right click on the overview ...

It took also a significant time to define the wording of such things.
Here the http://www.djnotation.org seems to have done a great job.
I think it would be great to use it as default labels for our cue points
and be able to exchange them in this format.
