Hi Marco,

Thanks for recommending Mixxx!

We would be open to making live broadcasting easier to set up for
broadcasting sites such as Spreaker but we would want to do it in a way
that is extensible and allows us to support a variety of 3rd-party
streaming sites.

The main question is, do you have developer resources you'd be willing to
contribute to this? Our development team is spread thin (as we are all
volunteers) and we are primarily focused on the new major features that
will be coming in Mixxx 1.12.0 so we would not have much more than advisory
help to contribute to this project (unless someone on the team wants to
devote more time to it?).

Off the top of my head, it sounds like we would want a way to make an OAuth
connection to spreaker.com (to prevent us having to touch the user's
password) and once authenticated, we could request available stream
endpoints from an API on spreaker.com for the logged in user. This API
request would return all the configuration details needed to connect to
each available stream (mount point, encoding, etc.) so the user doesn't
have to manually set any of this and could just select the stream they want
from a drop-down. Reasonable? From browsing your API documentation it looks
like you support OAuth already?

Thanks for reaching out,
RJ Ryan

Android is increasing in popularity, but the open development platform that
developers love is also attractive to malware creators. Download this white
