We currently don't have resources to develop the integration (small team
and missing know-how on C++ and QT), but we're willing to "sponsor" the
development and to implement any required custom API. Does it make sense to
you?

It makes sense. We currently don't support OAuth, but a custom auth method
based on WSSE (it's extremely easy: add an auth digest via HTTP header to
each request and we can provide you sample code in C language to generate
it).
