Thank you for the reply and showing me how to run those ruby commands with
homebrew. Those two libs installed without any errors. I'm now getting an issue
with libtheora.

(https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/issues/27499) " I posted on that issue
under my Github id zippo227. I guess I should not have installed Xcode 5.1
I was trying to avoid using Macports and stick with homebrew. Do you have any
suggestions? Also, your link to NeoTech in your signature led to an empty page.

I am using OSX Mavericks too. I had a few troubles building mixxx on my machine
as well. But now I have it all set up.
If you are having any problems installing vamp-plugin-sdk or rubberband, here

It's not stated explicitly that the project works for Mavericks.

I don't really know what that means. My hope is that I'll be able to see
everything in a nice, concise Xcode project and go on from there. I do see the
extra ruby scripts for homebrew problems, but I really don't understand them. I
have a lot of experience in C++, and I want to contribute to the project
because I use Mixxx often.
