I would like to defend the 4-band eq :). I really use it on Traktor and I
think it's not a marginal thing, the majority of big names in techno use
the Xone 92 mixer. I understand that support a variable number of eq knobs
is a ton of work, so I suppose I'll have to wait.

Regarding the use of different eqs per deck, might be useful if some decks
are bypassed for the input of external sources for example from a vinyl.
