Hi all,

I'm an ALSA developer and mainly commit to ALSA firewire stack.
Currently I'm working to enhance ALSA support for Stanton SCS.1m/1d.

Originally, ALSA has 'snd-scs1x' module for these models. It was written
by Clemens Ladisch according to this post.
http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2012-May/052264.html

In the post, I can see a mixxx developer. If possible, I'd like to
request him or the other mixxx developers to help my work.

The 'snd-scs1x' supports MIDI functionality only for model-specific MIDI
message protocol called as HSS1394. My work is to add PCM functionality.
Furthermore, these models clearly use OXFW971 chipset as its
communication functionality. ALSA firewire stack already has a driver
for this chipset. My additional work is to merge 'snd-scs1x' to
'snd-oxfw'. This work is a bit intrusive for 'snd-scs1x' users because
it's easy to bring regression, especially to SCS.1d user because this
model has no PCM functionality.

Then, I need testers for the SCS.1m/1d models. I'll be happy to get some
contacts from you.

Regards

Takashi Sakamoto
