Hello.
I've been looking into improving one of the weak points of Mixxx,
concretely the analysis of new tracks.
I've opened a bug on launchpad about it, and described my findings and how
we could change it, it's here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1641153
I've just got a new powerful machine and I have a mixxx build environment
ready, so I am ready to take the task by myself, but I would like to hear
oppinions and points of view first, so that I don't oversee anything.
This would need to be tested on different machines and operating systems in
order to see how good is it behaving. I am able to test it on two windows,
with a weak ( core 2 duo 1.5GHZ) and powerful (core i7 6700 4Ghz) machine.
At one point I might even investigate about GPGPU processing for the
analysis (Didn't have a graphics card capable openCL/CUDA before so I have
no real knowledge right now). That could make it absurdly fast if done
right :P
