Hallo > My question is: > What do you guys recommend as a TV out device for a Linux computer? That should work well with mplayer and a CPU faster than 1GHz.

I have not tested it with my newer G550. > - not too expensive :-) > - the TV-out must be one of these: YPbPr, S-Video, composite > - must not have the aforementioned problems Hard to test. I can only test on a projector and the 100Hz TV-Set from my parents. > I guess some sort of graphics card should do, but so far i didn't find > any with a good TV-out. If you read test about Grafic cards please choose one where they tested with a better methode than "We connected the card to my tv and looked ...." A test where they measured the produced voltage levels and timing of the grafic card with various patterns will be much better. There the Test equipment will cost a lot more that 100000 $/Euro. The german magazine C't is known for making such tests. And their test can usually only found when you by the magazine. Only you only read a small part of their reports. :-/ auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SlickEdit Inc.
