Well, that's why we use editlists, they are for both video and audio. lav2wav file.eli will then give the appropriate sound for the edited video, and you can enhance that further in your audio application of choice. If you want manual video editing, then you'll have to manually created a script or application like lav2wav-on-editlists. I don't know of any such tool myself, this is the one of the main reasons why I sticked to editlists. ;).
