Subject: SVCD still pictures

Hello Gernot and Andrew

I have a problem with SVCD still picture creation.

The Quality of SVCD still pictures is less good than of VCD-Stills
because mpeg2enc will always output interlaced Video-Streams.

Using ppmtoy4m with option -I p and/or mpeg2enc with option -I 0
it's all the same. I never received an progressive mpeg2 still picture.

How can I force ppmtoy4m and mpeg2enc to create progressive output?

Thank you in advance
