I realise this is more of an MPlayer question than mjpeg-tools, but 1) I find
this list more helpful and 2) I think MPlayer can only do half the job
anyway.
I've got a few Surround-sound asf files that I'd love to hear it all their
glory. Even though MPlayer plays them fine, I've only got a stereo card in my
PC. However, I've got a new all-singing, all-dancing DVD player with optical
output to my surround-sound stereo system, whch plays 'most' DVD compatible
formats, but doesn't recognise these asf files.
So I was thinking, if I could convert them to a format it did recognise, say
AC3 or so, then I could listen to them properly.
From what I've read of the MPlayer man page, I can read these asf files, but I
can't see a switch to convert them to AC3 or other surroud-sound format,
which is where I think the mjpeg-tools can come in?
Does anyone know how I can convert these files into a format that my DVD will
play?
Cheers,
John Gay
