Hi, I am currently switching the deinterlacer from C to C++. While I am doing so, I implement some processing I came up with for some months ago but could not implement due to spare-time-limits. I will update the CVS if everything works fine again (because I do not want to corrupt any data...).
Short: if it is sure that nothing moves, don't touch any pixel to keep the image as sharp as it can be. if it moves interpolate the pixels by motion-compensation of past and future field and antialias the result. If you want to take a look what the current core of the deinterlacer can do watch this: http://www.sfendt.de/video/test.m2v Despite of the first (garbled) frame *g* I cannot see any typical deinterlacing artefacts... cu Stefan ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
