Ryan,

If you're handy with a tube bender and can work out the plumbing connections
then it's quite straightforward to install yourself. You can pick up the
parts (tube and connections, tube bender and flaring tool) at a
racing-oriented speedshop. You'll also need to remove the existing
proportioning valve.

That said, I chickened out and had mine installed by Jody Lift at Havoc
Motorsport in Crestwood, just outside Chicago. Sorry, I don't have a number,
etc. since I'm away from home at the moment. Any competent racing-oriented
fabrication shop should be able to install, though. The adjustment lever for
mine fits in place of the blank on the lower left side of the instrument
binnacle, where the choke knob went on European carburetor models.

Having said that, I've been very pleased to have the manual bias adjustment
on the track, when I'm VERY focused on driving, and feeling what the car is
doing without a lot of distractions. BUT, I would prefer not to have to
worry about adjusting my brake brake balance in constantly and unpredictably
changing street driving conditions. Unless you experience premature rear
wheel lockup, and maybe especially then, I'd suggest that you save your money
and use it to check out your whole braking system instead! Also, bear in
mind that a single proportioning valve is not a true bias adjustment,
changing the amount of braking to each end of the car. Rather it changes the
line pressure to the rear brakes as a percentage of the pressure to the front
brakes. In other words it doesn't actually shift braking effort to the
front, rather it reduces it to the rear, which MAY let you use the front
brakes harder, or it might just reduce your overall brake effectiveness if
not used properly...
