My new 91 GLI reads "---" on the MFA's oil temp setting. I'm thinking it's either a loose connection or a bad sender. The question is, where is the sender located? There are two sensors on the oil filter/cooler housing. I thought one was pressure, one was temp. However, the dealer parts dude said no, they are both pressure (1 hi, 1 lo) and the temp sensor is elsewhere (he wasn't sure where). So before I go nuts trying to find it, has anyone BTDT and know where it is? Or as a bonus, have the part number?
