This has been beaten to DEATH already, but I am using the list for what it is for...a quick answer. Question: What are the best spark plugs to use on my 1.8l 16v? I remember hearing about the platniums, as well as the three electrode ones. I am buying a set locally first thing in the morning so my car passes inspection (failed today) BTW, NJ doesnt use the dyno for all cars. As it turns out, the state inspection stations use the RPM method at 2500rpm rather than the dyno on 75% of all cars due to time constraints. Trust me, I was there today. Failed with flying colors, even with timing retarded. CO lmit was 0.5, I was 4.08, and Hydrocarbons was 100, I was 233. I know it was from messing with my mixture settings over the summer. Anyways, if someone could let me know as to what spark plugs I should get (hotter, the better - the engine is pretty mildly modded), that'd be great as my list archive and bentley are in Maryland.
