Yes, the 85 is a 9A, and I think the 1.8 16V is a AGB. I have never heard of
an input shaft causing failure in andy 020 transmission, even in the monster
A1 Caddy drag truck that ABD built. I talked to someone else from a
reputable tuner, it was a while back, I don't remember who, and they said
I'd have no problem with the differences in input shafts. I would like to
use a larger clutch though. I know that they differ only by a little bit,
but I was wondering how much more acceleration I would get out of the 9A.
