> Does anyone know how to tell if you are getting enough fuel at high rpm?

The old racers method is to do a plug reading. Grab your plug wrench and
head for an open stretch of road where you can sustain 5500 - 6000 in 3rd
gear for 1/4 - 1/2 mile. You want to simultaneously shut the ignition off
and let the throttle butterfly close after the 1/4 - 1/2 mile run at 5500 -
6000 RPM. Don't let off the gas before you shut the ignition off, you need
to do both simultaneously, or you'll alter the results. Coast to the side
of the road, and pull a couple of plugs, one at the end of the head, and one
of the middle ones. Examine the plugs for evidence of lean or rich mixture.
I think my old A1 Bentley had a color "chart" with pictures of various plugs
identifying various mixture situations, as well as other engine problems
(bad rings, too hot/cold plugs, etc.).
You should probably do this a few times to insure consistent results.
