No, those were the "Silver Arrows", as I recall...
Whatever, THOSE were real cars!  Big, brutish, ungodly powerful for their
time, and to top it off, they were actually very advanced from an
aerodynamics standpoint.  Took real men to drive those, leather helmets,
flight goggles, and all!

Hey, speaking of drivers, anyone a Scott Pruett fan?  He's switched from
Champ cars (the "real" Indy cars, not those Tony George toys), to Winston
Cup, this year.  I've watched Scotty for years, through his days in TransAm,
and IMSA GTO/GTU.  I was reminded of this when I saw my neighbor, one Willy
T. Ribbs, at the grocery store, the other day.  He and Scott used to have
quite aggressive battles between them, sometimes ending in fisticuffs
following the race.  I hear that Willy T. is going to resume his driving
career this season in Champ cars.
