I just had a velocity lightened flywheel put on my 89 GTI 16v... big difference! It revs a lot quicker, which is great for when you're trying to slam it into first at low speeds... takes barely a blip on the throttle to get the revs up. It obviously doesn't feel much faster, but it drives a lot better. Definitely a recommended upgrade, and it was only 125 bucks.
