Actually, Mat, that stuff will offer some pretty good sound deadening ability. I have been planning on putting it in the Jeep (but have been too busy with this damn VW). I read a number of articles and have ridden in some Jeeps w/ the stuff and compared to the factory sound deadening (read: none) it does help substantially. Compared to carpet- not near as good, but in conjunction with it, VERY good.

It's doubtful that spray-in bedliner material will provide much sound deadening. It's main function is to act as topical protection for the metal. The bedliner mtl will be lighter than carpet AND it won't absorb water like your carpet and sound deadening mtl. However, I'd recommend that you remove the sound deadening pads before you spray. The easiest way to remove the adhesive pads is with dry ice pellets - cover the pad with dry ice, wait 10 min or so, hit the pad to shatter it.
