I rest my case. I have towed out more yutz's that get stuck with the
Monster than you could count. The Cherokee actually comes with tow hooks as
an option. Yuppie losers that don't deserve Jeeps generally omit them as
they know they'll never use 4WD.

Also, whoever owns the Suburban, I was watching the Barrett Jackson auction
on Speedvision and a guy named Canepa made one with 700+ hp and 900 lb feet
of torque! I got yer lack of performance right here (straight line and BIG
stopping distance aside).

I take back all the negative SUV comments I've made.

This evening when I left work, there was 6-7" of unplowed snow in the
parking lot. I spent a good half hour trying to get myself out. All I
could do was spin the wheels.

I was one of the last to leave. Fortunately one of the guys had some tow
straps, and I got pulled out by a Cherokee. He towed me the 150 yards or so
to the plowed street where I could make it on my own.

What nice tow hooks the Jetta has (The Cherokee had none that we could
find). I'll be picking up a couple sets of tow straps for both cars now.

My average speed on the rest of the drive home was only 9mph. At one point
I almost didn't make it up a slight incline, and had a whole bunch of cars
behind me. Maybe I'll start shopping for an old Subaru wagon or BRAT for a
winter vehicle.
