Hey guys,

For about a month and a half now, I haven't been able to start my 89 GTI and I
suspect a bad ignition switch. I would like to try to fix it myself but it's
been too cold in NYC for me to do it and I don't want to bring it to a shop.

I'd first like to kmow how hard is it to replace? Second, is there a way to
put a temporary switch so I can start it and warm it up without having to push
start it.

Basically, when I turn on the key, nothing happens but the battery and
everything else is fine.

Thanx in Advance

 Patrick
