Pat,
I completely agree with the impact gun idea, but just
remember how tight that area is.  I know my impact gun
has no chance of fitting in there to get to the gear.
I guess you could use a flex joint with an extension,
but that is just a stripped bolt waiting to happen.


I just used an impact gun with a swivel to put my cam gear on last night. It was about a 30 sec job. It's not a super high torque install so as long as you keep some pressure on the socket then it doesn't slip off or strip the bolt. I definitly wouldn't use a standard ratchet to get it off. I...uh...know "some people" who have broken a couple of cam gears using that approach.
