There isn't too much variation in coilover kits - the principles are identical and the execution can't be too different. In other words, the Ractive kit looks very similar to the Ground Control kit. The VW modifications may entail cutting off the lower spring perch and welding on a collar that holds the threaded adjuster for the front struts which is SOP for Ground Control. I'm not sure why the shocks would ever require replacement however - the shock bodies are a standard diameter and so forth.
