My mileage is based on miles traveled.  My MFA reads way lower.

I would suggest to all of you that if you are quoting your mileage
based on the MFA display, you should check your numbers at the pump
based on miles/gals.  I get numbers like 30-35mpg on the MFA...  what
that means is I have a major vacuum leak.  My actual mileage is about
26, which I think is too low.

On a slightly related note, I just spoke to a mechanic friend who,
after mentioning my melted cat, said the real problem was the
California gas with the MTBE (or whatever it's called).  I wonder if
this stuff could be messing with oxygen sensors too?
