Hi everyone,

I need to do a coolant flush in my 91 GLI. At the
same time I'd like to install a low tem thermost. (I
already have the low temp fanswitch.) Are there any
tips that someone can give that would help with
sucessful removal of the thermostat housing? I know
it is fairly common to break the bolts in the housing.
I really don't want to do the waterpump too. (I have
a spare handy if I need it though) I was thing of
using a punch to tap on the bolt heads before I remove
them. Anyone else out there have any tips or advice.
I will reinstall the long life (red) cooland along
with some redline water wetter.
Thanks for listening,
Tony
