Okay back to VW talk...So my car is coming together. I was talking with Jay about this and I will go ahead and bring it up to the group. In either September or October my buddies and I are going to rent Holtville Raceway for the weekend. In case any of you don't know what Holtville is, it's an old military field that SCCA has been racing on since the 60's. It's in El Centro about 1.5-2 hrs east of San Diego. Pretty fun runway to race on and we'll be setting up the standard SCCA course which includes 2 1/2 mile straightaways (saw 135+ mph in a 73 911 w/3.2 engine last time I was there). If anyone is interested let me know. The costs haven't been worked out but it will probably end up being somewhere around $100 for the weekend. There will be limited slots and it's first come first serve. So let me know if you are interested.

Hehe, Yep, I agree with Ratlow here, ALL Porsche's have the "FEEL" to
them. Even him and I went round and round comparing M3 to Porsche, I
drove his M3 and while it IS an AWESOME car, I dont like the ergonomics
in it for ME. Once a Porsche driver, its hard to get used to anything
other than a low, legs extended, vertical steering wheel drivers
compartment. But, regardless of our Opinion's Rat and I both agree that
BMW's and P-cars are both awesome when in the hands of the right driver.
Unfortunatley Im not the right driver for an ///M3. Now I really have no
Idea how we got on this subject... Porsche mode-off, Back to A2;s :)
