I've only used 2 quarts even and have not blown my tranny yet. As far as the drain plug, it is the 17mm (I think) hex wrench and it is on the bottom of the trans and on the side- you have to take off the driver's side front wheel.
It is a hard bolt to miss... Is this the one right under the final drive, on the bottom and back of the tranny? and then to fill the tranny back up i use the hole on the side, and just fill it till it oozes out ('90 car so i dont need to use the speedo hole right?). and finaly do i need 2 quarts exactly of gear oil? or is it a tiny bit over 2 quarts? i dont really want to buy 3 quarts of this stuff if i'm not going to be using alot of the 3'rd quart. thanks.
