Ok Guys, Im gonna set you straight here. The 76-82 924NA and 924Turbo
and 83-85 944 use steel A-Arms. These are dimensionally the same as A1
arms. In 85 1/2 Porsche went to the Aluminum arms. The aluminum arms are
only 2 pounds lighter a side, and they give you a whacked out offset
(Porsche added 25mm to the front track width, via the a-arm, for ABS)
Also, the Porsche aluminum arms use a non-replaceable pressed in
ball-joint. There ARE companies that will rebuild them, but it is about
$150 per side. I dunno about you, but I would way rather have the $12.00
A1 ball-joint. In fact, many 944 guys swap-back to the steel arms, as
they are more durable. Thanks.
