I just got my Jetta wheels I bought last week, and am very impressed with them. All they need is a bit of touch up paint here and there, but are overall in great condition. Question...
What size tires should I run with these? I was thinking 205/50-15's, would these be a bit wide for the 6" width of the rim? Maybe 195/55-15 would be better? I was thinking if 1987 GTI 16v's came with 205 width tires on teardrops, I should be able to do it safely as well. Right now I have 195/55-14's (teardrops) which are a bit smaller than stock. Now that my speedo is reading waaay to fast (earlier posts), I wouldn't mind going back to approximately the stock size. Going from what I have now to the slightly larger 205/50 size will result in a 2.7% slower speedo than actual. Combine that with how much faster it is already due to the speedo swap, I think it will help. Thanks, Denis G. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
