You may just have the terminals backward on your meter. Mine reads negative
half the time. Also, you may not have a strong connection at the plug.
When I posted this as an issue not to long ago that is what it turned out to
be.

Subject: motronic tuning probs.

I did a few measurements to make sure my motor is
running proberly before I proceed to install cams. I
checked vacuum. It checked in at 15" hg. Is this OK.
IIRC its not bad, but maybe a tad bit low. I also
checked the fuel mixture. Here is where I had
trouble. I checked it it was around 12ma. Which is a
bit lean. No big deal. So I turn the screw
clockwise. THe # gets higher. So I turn it the other
way and the #s go down. Wtf? I got it down to hte
factory 2.5 Ma and its consistant (not jumping all
over the place or anything. Someone help me out here.
Am I smoking lunch or is clockwise suppose to ritchen
our cars and counter clockwise leans it out. On the
same theory clockwise would give you a lower milli
amps... so why is mine the opposite. Anyone?

I was told the car had a garret chip too, Is there a
way to verify this?

Confused?
