Two weeks ago the car was running fine, then all of a sudden on a long
drive, it started to cut in and out in a violent/shaking sort of fit, and
eventually it got to the point that it would just stop running after slowly
losing power. Start it up again, and it ran fine...for 15 seconds. They
replaced the DPR, I picked it up, and it ran fine for three days.
Today I installed a TT chip and the car ran GREAT. The chip made a nice
improvement. I took it out for three or four trips and all was well.
I went to a movie, and when I came out and drove home, the car started
bucking at anything more than about 1500 rpm...almost like what happened
two weeks ago when the car died. WTF? Could the chip be responsible for
this? Could the DPR be bad again? Transfer pump? They checked the fuel
pressure at the dealership when the car was in, and they said the pressure
was A-OK. I don't understand why the car would start doing this all of a
sudden when I started it up after sitting for a couple of hours.
