Tony,

I put in the Autotech cam set (supposed to be as wild
as shrick 260's) along with the slightly larger 2
liter intake manifold a few months back. Before the
swap, I had a high compression, low rpm torque monster
(2008cc). After, I had a high rpm screamer. I lost a
bunch of power down low, which sucks, but gained a
considerable amount up high. I do have a cam gear
that is currently dialed in to perfect top dead
center, but I am reluctant to try to bring the power
band down with the gear. Just when you think the car
is going to make a lot of noise and not go anywhere at
3500rpm, it builds and builds and builds. I used to
NEVER hit the rpm limiter on my car. The power just
dropped off too quick. Now, it keeps going, and I
have hit the limiter a few times. I am not a big fan
of having to rev the motor out to get some power, but
the power is awesome.

By the way, I took a look at your pics you posted. I
noticed you arranged your camshaft bearing caps in the
correct order when you took them out of the car. But,
to the left, it looks like a big pile of lifters. I
almost 100% sure those too are supposed to be
reinstalled where they were pulled from. I like the
intake manifold though, must look great with the red
valve cover.

Best of luck,
Denis G.
