Try using carb cleaner on the DPR (the small canister in front of the distributer). Also, pull off the boot on the air mass sensor and inspect the wires there. One of mine came loose under the boot. It didn't give me a fault code for it, but it was causing that sort of symptom. The car would buck like crazy under 2K rpm at part throttle, and die at some lights. Make sure your idle switch is getting contacted, and also that it is functioning.
