Jeeze Alex, you are a stubborn one, aren't you - check out the dyno chart on
the link I provided (it's not my car), keep in mind that I have nearly the
same chart from my car (almost exactly), and show me dyno charts of your
'87-89 GTI 16V's that don't have that and I'll believe you. Right now, you
are saying your butt dyno is more reliable than a DynoJet and that dosen't
really cut it for me.

to about 5800. That is what I mean by 'dosent rev'. I've researched this.

- - Clay, I've owned a 2.0L CIS-E, and so has my brother, and two of my
friends. All of our motors (each with a euro cam) pulled all the way to
6700rpms without a problem. We found that this setup has a small flat spot
at 6300rpms, but that's it. Otherwise, they all pulled strong to redline.
Since then, one of my friends put in Kent 258's, and it pulls even harder
now.

Our cars are (were) all '87-89 GTI 16V's, they came from the factory with
CIS-E.
CIS-E was added to your car, maybe something still isn't right with it.

Although I would recommend using Motronic over CIS-E anyday, there is a
certain amount of complexity in the swap, especially in the wiring, so it's
not something anybody can do.
I don't want to discourage anyone from putting a 2.0L in a CIS-E car. They
can always upgrade to Motronic later.
