Hmmm, are we talking about the same screws here? The ones that attach the 
electrical contact housing to the lock housing, right? Because it was nowhere 
near as complicated the last time I did it. The whole lock housing comes off 
the steering column as a complete unit. Once you've done that, the electrical 
part is right there, a little white cylinder on the end of the lock housing. 
Just unscrew and replace. I'm sure I never had to remove any tumblers.

So anyway, 
 First thing after taking the covers off is to drill the holes and take out the 
tumblers.Once the tumblers are out you need to work at getting to the screws. I 
had to drop the steering bracket to get to the screws 
easily.
