brake bleed, good pads, good rotors. thats all you need. rebuild the
calipers if youre anal, do some testing to set the prop valve if youre
really anal. i like stainless lines too. the pedal stays more
consistent.

stock. bigger brakes really only help with brake fade, and with a
proper brake bleed, good rotors, and stock pads on stock sized brakes,
you shouldnt fade...on the street, anyway. ive locked my front wheels
up stabbing the brakes at 80mph in my 92 gti, which had 9.4"
brakes...stock rotors and ferodo pads. stopping power isnt the issue.
bigger brakes wouldnt have done anything, since they dont change the
traction the tires have.

and if you are fading on the street (ive done it plenty of times, with
not-so-good 9.4" brake/rotor combinations) i suggest doing the
pads/rotors/bleed job before spending the money on big brakes.

pretty easy if you get all the parts. its a straight bolt on. the M/C
is the biggest PITA.
