After swapping out engine, tranny and axles a weak to medium vibration from
the front end got worse. Now it's a medium to strong. It used to start at
about 40-50 mph and get worse as I went faster. Then it was mostly a sound,
now you can feel it thought the steering wheel. Now it starts at 25 mph and
seems to resonate worse at about 65-70, past that it (and the exhaust note)
quiets down. The weirdest part is that it goes away completely when I turn
even slightly to the right (it doesn't get worse when I go to the left).
Front tires have less than 1000 miles on them and the frequency is wrong for
it to be the balance.
My guesses are tire rub (no signs of it though), wheel bearing ?, and my
best guess the passenger's side axle. The Bentley shows that there's even a
dampener used on it. Mine's missing. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
