Hey guys,
I'm having some problems with my Jetta and I'm narrowing it down to an
ignition prob.
Engine won't start at all.
Coil-Distributor wire resistance - Ok
Coil- Primary Resistance 1.1 (Bentley says 0.6-0.8 ohms)
Secondary Resistance 7500 (Bentley says 6500-8500 ohms)
I'm not sure if my readings are correct because there are sooo many Ohm
settings on my multimeter.
I measured primary resisntace on Ohm setting 200 and I measured secondary on
Ohm setting 2000.
I can smell gas fumes from the tail pipe, I also checked for spark by
removing a spark plug and grounding it to the block and there was spark
Could it be the coil?
Thanks,
Mark.
