Mine was leaking from the hand brake lever shaft. I belive
it can be repaired but I just installed a used one. In any case
$150 each sounds quite expensive. Have you tried rebuilt prices?

Subject: [A2-16v] Leaky rear caliper

I appear to have a leaky right rear caliper. The
fittings are all tight and don't appear to be wet yet
I have brake fluid on the inner face of the tire and a
some spooting on the ground. I suspect that the seals
are leaking / torn. Can I rebuild this myself or does
anyone have a cheaper suggestion then buying a new or
rebuilt caliper. They still seem to work but at some
point I'll run low on fluid and then I will be really
sucking air. The best price I have seen for these is
$150 each (ouch)!
