I had a vw racing shop replace the bushings in the control arms of my 90 jetta 16v. They were installed with no respect to the position of the kidney shaped cutout. The shop told me it makes no difference how the bushing are pressed in. He was upset for me questioning him and said, "sure the Bentley is right, I am wrong... I'll install them any way you want just send them back." They were designed that way for a reason, right? Can I can consider the Bentley accurate in this case or would I be wasting my time sending them back to have the pressed in as shown in the book?
