To measure the lift more accurately you could use a dial indicator, rotating the cam, measuring on the nose, and 180 degrees opposite and recording the maximum and minimum readings. The difference between these is the lift.

I just measured my cam (new euro intake) using a micrometer,
1.503 base circle (approx. as you indicated)
1.879 lobe measurement
yields
.376 lift (inches)
This seems pretty close to the page you referenced, and is easier for me to do than the other method.

said the only way to know for sure is to measure the lift.

Here is what I measured with a micrometer

1.842" long way
1.493" short way
0.349" lift (long - short)

This is just .006" different from the us cam, per the tt web page
http://www.tttuning.com/cams.asp

The duration of the stock and euro cam is more than 180 degrees so I know
that my "short way" measurement is probably too big... Can someone
measure the lobe on one of their cams if you have a euro one sitting
around the house or shop? What is the proper way to measure lift anyway?
