Hi everyone, My car is having some problems lately (other than the alternator fans flying through the hood & a cracked dowpipe) Most of the time it drives & idles beautifully. Once in a while after a long drive it will start to ilde erratically. The idle will wander between 950-1100 rpm over and over again. When this occurs the car also devolops a low speed buck (no its not a torn airboot). I thought it was the idle stabiliser but I put a spare in and its no different. Here is the funny thing, if I shut the car off and restart it, it goes away. My friends gti 16v is doing the exact same thing. Any ideas?
