For the most part I agree with that statement but I've found the Autolook covers to be quite functional unlike so many poseur covers. The Momo covers are quasi-useful although their diamond-plate finish isn't rough enough to hold leather-soled shoes.
I've driven a few cars with absolutely ridiculous Momo pedal covers that were so large that they effectively turned the pedals (all 3) into one large block!!
